THE BLOG, AS AN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE FOR TEACHING ENGLISH LANGUAGE


ACTIVITY: "NAVIGATING THE BLOG”
                                                                          
DESCRIPTION
The new profile of students necessitates a change in approach and teaching methodology in the classroom teaching of foreign languages​​.
The emergence of ICT is a revolution for which teachers should be prepared. This activity focuses as a proposal for some of these resources and how they can be adapted to serve an educational purpose.
In this regard, I will highlight the idea that teachers must continue our training and we must submit to a thorough conceptual and technological recycling. In recent years we have seen the emergence of new educational tools, such as whiteboards, tablets, network activity, etc.
This resource of Web 2.0 such as blogs, webquests, wikis, Twitter, Facebook, etc, which have become a complementary part added imperative of traditional resources.
OBJECTIVES  
  1. To show interest in increasing vocabulary.
  2. To express ability with can/can’t.
  3. To Use the right keywords to make suggestions.
  4. To Know the vocabulary of terms related to the sport.
  5. To Discover the potential of Technologies applied to Education.
  6. To Contents auditions songs.
  7. To read folktales.
  8. To practice writing, based on texts and note given.
CONTENTS
a)      Specific vocabulary of special dates. (1, 4, 7)
b)      Can / can’t. (2, 4)
c)       Auditions and imitations of important elements. (5, 6)
d)      The Blog: use and possibilities (5, 6, 7).
e)      The song: Important feature for the audition (1,6).
f)       Writing: "All about me". (1, 5, 7)

EVALUATION CRITERIA
INDICATORS
1.       To participate in oral exchanges on familiar topics addressed in predictable communicative situations.
2.       To grasp the gist and identify specific information in oral texts.
3.       To read and grasp the gist and some specific information from simple texts.
4.       To use New Technologies for learning the English Language.
1.1. Contribute to proposals communication situations.

 2.1. Capture the whole idea of ​​simple oral texts on issues discussed in the classroom.
